Complex extractions with 3D planning - precise, atraumatic, with sutures for fast healing.

Wisdom teeth often grow at an angle, press on neighbours, cause gum inflammation or caries because they can't be cleaned properly. At Symmetry complex extractions are done with mandatory 3D planning from a CBCT: we see the roots precisely relative to the mandibular nerve and maxillary sinus. We work microsurgically - a minimal incision, piezo release of the tooth, removal in fragments if needed. The socket is treated and sutured.

What's included

3D planning (CBCT)

We pinpoint the roots relative to the mandibular nerve and maxillary sinus - minimising risks.

Anaesthesia / sedation

Local anaesthesia numbs fully; complex cases can be done under sedation on request.

Minimal incision and piezo release

Microsurgical technique with a minimal incision and atraumatic release of the tooth, in fragments if needed.

Socket treatment

The socket is thoroughly treated, with bone material added when indicated.

Sutures

We always suture - this makes healing faster and more comfortable.

Follow-up

After 5-7 days we remove the sutures and assess healing.

FAQ

Is it painful and how long does it take?
Under anaesthesia it's painless. Most extractions take 30–60 minutes depending on complexity.
Must it be removed if it doesn't hurt?
If it's retained, presses on a neighbour, or can't be cleaned — yes, better removed electively, before complications.
Can it be done under sedation?
Yes. Complex cases can be done under sedation on request — you wake when it's all over.
How long is recovery?
Full recovery after a complex extraction takes 1–2 weeks. Swelling and discomfort are possible in the first days.
What can and can't I do after?
For the first days avoid heat, exercise, flights and rinsing. The doctor will give detailed instructions.
