What's included

Review and assessment of the status

We check nasal breathing, the presence of contraindications. Nitrous oxide is delivered through a nasal mask - the nose must be clean and free.

Adaptation moment

We show the child the mask and explain how it will breathe. We allow them to hold the mask and smell it - there is a soft flavor inside, which relieves the initial fear.

Delivery of sedation

The child inhales a mixture of nitrous oxide and oxygen through the mask. After a few minutes, relaxation sets in. The child remains conscious and communicates.

Treatment

We carry out the planned procedures. The child responds to questions and feels calm. The vomiting reflex is reduced - you can work with the back teeth.

Exit from sedation

After the procedure, the child breathes pure oxygen for several minutes. The gas is completely eliminated. There are no restrictions on food, activity or sleep after the visit.
